TGIF 4D Barrel Series 2009 Rules and Regulations   

revised 11/2008 all underline are new changes this year

 

1-All  WA National Barrel Racing Association  (NBHA) rules will apply and the following for the TGIF 4D Barrel Series. (See WA NBHA Rules and Regulations Book or go to www.wanbha.com)

 

2-To be eligible for awards you must pay a nomination fee for each rider horse combination and you will receive points on a rider horse combination only.  If you have to vet a horse out a vet slip must be given and approved by the producer and a decision will be made at there discretion.

 

3-You can nominate more than one horse, however points will be kept separate for each horse. 

 

4-Contestants may ride any horse or as many horses as they choose in a class.  A rider cannot ride the same horse more than once in any class.  In no case will the same horse be ran more than once in the same class.

 

5-Nomination forms are non transferable from rider to rider. Each rider must pay his/her own nomination fee, no exceptions.

 

6-You must run in 4 of the 6 shows to qualify for awards.

 

7-Points will be awarded in all classes and divisions on a 25, 22, 20, 17, 15, 12, 10, 7, 5, 2 bases for 1st place through 10th place among riders who pay their nomination fee.  If two or more riders tie, the points for the tied position will be added together and divided equally among the riders who tied.

 

8-You can only receive one series award for each rider horse combination you nominate.  If you have points in multiple divisions on an individual horse you will receive the award in the division you placed highest in. If  you tie for points in multiple divisions you will receive the award in the higher division.  If two or more riders tie, the placing will go to the rider horse combination with the most money won in that division for the series.  If that does not break the tie the rider with the fastest time in the series will get the hier placing.

 

9-Series awards will be given as far down as possible, depending on funding.  All series qualifiers will at least receive a participation award.

 

10-There is no year end awards for senior, or novice classes.

 

11-TGIF4D Youth class is 18 and under as of Jan 1st.

 

12-Only TGIF4D producers and representatives will make decisions on year end awards.

 

13-Points will not be awarded and a “no time” will be given for:

a.Going off course (not completing a cloverleaf pattern)

b.Not running in drawn position.

c.Knocking over a barrel (if a barrel is knocked over and it sets up again on either end a “no time” will be accessed).  Touching a barrel to keep it from falling is permitted.

        d. any run during which a contestant breaks the time barrier.

 

14-Poles will issue a five second penalty for every pole knocked down.

 

15- Barrel measurements shall be 60’ score, 75’ between 1st & 2nd barrels, 90’ to 3rd Barrel.

 

16- If the timers should fail a re ride may be issued  at the end of the class by the producers discretion.

 

17-TGIF4D, Melody Riders Saddle Club, NBHA and BRN4D and its producers reserve the right to accept or eject any entry.

 

18-Anyone participating in any event must sign a Liability Release Form.

 

19-Once you have entered an event or time only there will be no refunds, unless at the producers discretion.

 

20-A $25 service charge on all returned checks and you may put on a cash only basis at the producers discretion.
